About This Job:  

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.  

 On behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry, we are looking for a competentskilled, and experienced Accountant to work in Kampala. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month
    end closing
  • Oversee cost accounting: raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and production
    costing
  • Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate stock valuation.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, income tax) and ensure full URA
    compliance
  • Lead the preparation for and response to URA audits and queries
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports for decision-making
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management
  • Demonstrated experience managing and responding to URA audits
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, WHT, income tax)
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
  • Professional qualification: ACCA or CPA (full or part-qualified)
  • Experience working in the manufacturing sector, particularly with cost and inventory
    accounting
  • Experience with Odoo or ERP.
