Job Summary
Our client, a company operating in truck sales, maintenance, and repair services, is seeking a professional English–Chinese Translator/Interpreter. The successful candidate will facilitate clear and accurate communication between Chinese-speaking and English-speaking staff, technicians, and management to support smooth operations across sales, workshop, and customer service functions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate translation between English and Chinese (written and spoken)
- Interpret during meetings, workshops, technical discussions, and site operations
- Translate technical documents related to truck maintenance, repair, and spare parts
- Support communication between Chinese management/technicians and local staff
- Translate emails, reports, manuals, safety guidelines, and operational documents
- Assist during client interactions and business negotiations when required
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness in all translations
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Perform other language-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or related field
- Proven experience as an English–Chinese translator or interpreter
- Strong command of both English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred)
- Ability to understand or quickly learn basic technical/automotive terminology is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial/workshop environment
- Previous experience in automotive, engineering, or industrial settings is an added advantage
