About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan.
We are looking for a competent and experienced Restaurant Manager

Job Summary: The Successful candidate will ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining the company reputation. Must coordinate a variety of activities to ensure business performance, quality standards and health and safety of the restaurant. The jobholder will also be tasked with combining strategic planning and day-to-day management activities, the role is both business-like and creative, particularly in terms of management and business development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste;
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction;
• Promote the brand in the local community;
• Take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant
• Keenly analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability;
• Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales;
• Set budgets or agree on them with senior management;
• Plan and coordinate menus;
• The jobholder will coordinate the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts;
• Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff;
• Regularly respond to customer queries and complaints;
• Meet and greet customers, organize table reservations and offer advice about menu choices;
• Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety;
• Check stock levels, order supplies and manage and petty cash;

Qualification, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality for this position however we are open to candidates with a combination of practical experience, strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of business;
• At least four years of related work experience;
• Experience in both back and front operations and administration;
• Excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff and customers;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for managing business administration and personnel matters;
• Demonstrated ability to cope under pressure;
• Good business awareness for achieving successful performance;
• Team working skills to be able to lead a team and be a part of it;
• Strong planning and organizational skills to run a streamlined operation;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and confidently to make your own decisions;
• Problem-solving ability to resolve issues as they arise.
