ROLE OVERVIEW
The IT Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all Information Technology functions within KLP. The role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of IT services while aligning technology initiatives with business objectives to enhance operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and digital transformation in a dynamic logistics environment.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

  • Ensure IT services are delivered reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with business needs.
  • Implement and maintain effective IT service management processes including change, configuration, capacity, availability, and continuity management.
  • Optimize the use of IT resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of IT systems, including data processing, applications, infrastructure, communication systems, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Provide technology vision and leadership in developing and implementing IT initiatives that enhance business performance in a competitive logistics environment.
  • Support management in planning and implementing enterprise information systems for both centralized and distributed operations.

POSITION IMPACT

  • Management of KLP IT operations and technical support through outsourced service providers.
  • Oversight of IT assets valued at approximately USD 1 million.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enterprise IT Planning

  • Participate in strategic planning as a key member of the management team.
  • Develop and maintain IT strategic and operational plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise systems architecture, standards, and protocols for data, software, and network integration.
  1. Leadership and Advisory
  • Provide expert guidance on selection, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Ensure appropriate investment in strategic and operational technologies.
  • Negotiate IT contracts in collaboration with management stakeholders.
  • Communicate IT strategies, policies, and emerging technology trends across the organization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information flow to support effective decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including vendors, regulators, auditors, and partners.
  1. IT Operations Management
  • Oversee all IT projects including systems acquisition, development, implementation, and upgrades.
  • Define and maintain organizational IT structure to support business needs.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor IT service level agreements (SLAs) and system performance.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with internal controls, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Lead IT risk management, cybersecurity, and data protection initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and promote a zero-incident safety culture within IT operations.
  1. Human Resource Management
  • Lead recruitment, training, development, and retention of IT staff within budget constraints.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing IT team.
  • Ensure continuous capacity building and skills development aligned with emerging technologies.
  1. Financial Management
  • Develop and manage annual IT operational and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement and utilization of IT resources.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for IT investments and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and review hardware/software contracts for value

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in IT management or senior IT roles, preferably in a busy logistics or industrial environment.
