JOB TITLE: IT END USER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

JOB OVERVIEW

  • As an IT End User support Specialist you will be responsible for helping to maintain IT systems within a company. This can vary between diagnosing software or hardware issues, to testing new systems or moving networks.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Analysing clients’ existing systems and business models
  2. Understanding software development lifecycle
  3. Moving old networks across to new ones
  4. Translating client requirements into specified project briefs
  5. Identifying potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
  6. Modifying or replacing systems
  7. Presenting proposals to clients
  8. Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  9. Ensuring that budgets are adhered to
  10. Testing systems
  11. Providing training and user manuals to users of new systems
  12. Keeping up-to-date with technical and industry developments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing Industry
  2. Ability to work well with others
  3. Excellent verbal communication skills
  4. Analytical thinking skills
  5. Excellent customer service skills
  6. Being flexible and open to change
  7. Ability to use own judgement to make quick decisions
  8. Able to use a computer and the main software packages confidently.
