JOB TITLE: EHS MANAGER

JOB OVERVIEW

  • As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for devising practices within a workplace to ensure health and safety, and environmental best practice on-site. You will also carry out quality control inspections to ensure high standards are kept.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met on-site
  2. Investigating accidents and writing reports
  3. Identifying potential hazards
  4. Completing risk assessments and site inspections
  5. Suggesting improvements to working processes
  6. Ensuring staff understand safety procedures
  7. Checking equipment is safe
  8. Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
  9. Monitoring environmental impacts
  10. Developing and reviewing safety policies and procedures
  11. Advising and training staff on best working practices
  12. Liaising with inspectors and trade unions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing Industry
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety.
  3. NEBOSH Certification
  4. Legal knowledge
  5. Good attention to detail
  6. Able to use your initiative
  7. Excellent team working skills
  8. Persistence and determination.
  9. Excellent IT Skills
  10. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
