Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client who is in the hospitality industry, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Kitchen Commis to work in Nairobi.
Job Role Description
We are looking for an organized, experienced Kitchen Commis to make ensure that kitchen operations are running smoothly.
Roles and responsibilities
- Clean ingredients following requests and directives of sous-chef or chef
- Prepare basic dishes, desserts or sauces following strictly the recipes and processes
- Stores all goods with labels and following diligently the relevant SOPs
- Team management
- Inventory management
- Operations
- Customer service
- Facilities management
Qualifications and Skills required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Degree/Diploma in hospitality management or related course
- Prior experience in the food & beverage industry is a plus
Competencies
- Know when to escalate issues to the Kitchen Sous-Chef
- Be dedicated to learning and grow
- Represent well the image of the company inside and outside of work
- Respect his/her teammates Follow strictly the SOP’s and recipes in order to ensure 100% consistency in taste and experience for the customers
- Channel his/her ideas for new products, change of products, etc through to the Kitchen Sous-Chef for discussion
- Respect the hierarchy of Competences
