JOB TITLE: SALES ENGINEER

Job Role Description

Our client who is in the Engineering industry is looking for an energy-efficiency-minded Sales Engineer to develop and manage their sales. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of supporting customer accounts at the corporate level as a true partner to our customers.

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Sales growth for the HVACR (Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) product portfolio within the assigned region of account manager territories.
  2. Develop an understanding of account needs within the region, key decision makers, applications, products/product development plans, and competitive situations.
  3. Provide input for the demand plan and rolling forecast.
  4. Lead customer visits and maintain/cultivate senior level customer relationships.
  5. Maintenance of a high-quality opportunity pipeline (MYP, NWT?).
  6. Identify, appoint and develop suitable sales partners to achieve strategic objectives
  7. Channel and performance management of appointed sales partners

Qualifications and Skills required.

  1. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical engineering and/or Electrical engineering
  2. Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience in the refrigeration business with technical knowledge of how systems work
  3. The food Retail experience is an added advantage
  4. A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in technical products related to Refrigeration, is desired.
  5. Distribution channel sales partner development and management

  3. Fluency in English. Proficiency in an African language in the applicable country is required

  7. Team-spirited and results orientated
  8. Proven critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving ability
