JOB TITLE: HVAC Technicians

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client in the Construction Industry, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced HVAC Technicians to work in Nairobi.

Job Summary

The main task will be to follow up on the heat tracing cable installation, design verification, and mechanical completions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  2. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  3. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  4. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  5. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  6. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  7. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  8. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  9. Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
  10. Assisting with customers’ queries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum Form 4 Certificate
  2. 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician,
  3. Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  4. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
  5. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  7. Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  8. Ability to work in confined spaces
